SC Botanical Gardens & Rompers Making Life A Tad Bit Easier {Mommy & Mini Ootd}

No matter how hard I try it seems like it takes hours to get our little tribe out the house sometimes! lol! I mean, I knew adding our little bundle of joy to the mix would take a bit more time but some days its like pulling teeth trying to get breakfast, showers, dress myself, Connor, and [sometimes] K before our day can officially get started! And don’t even mention how long it takes for us to stock our toddler bag [snacks] and pile into our car! Ha! Needless to say, our “get out the house routine” needs a little refinement, so anything I can do on those types of mornings to save time and hassle is appreciated. Surprisingly, adding a few rompers to me & my mini’s closets have proven to do just that. And this weekend at the beautiful South Coast Botanical Gardens in Palos Verdes, Connor and I donned two of our favorite new rompers. They were perfect for also keeping us cute, comfortable and cool. And I must say, being able to leisurely walk the luscious 87 acre garden property as a family was so relaxing, inspiring and peaceful.

So why has it taken me so long to jump on this romper trend? To be honest, at first I just thought they weren’t for me. And I was ok with that. I’m short (5′ 1′) and still working on flattening my tummy (let’s just keep it real here! lol!) and every time I have tried on one in the dressing room it just didn’t fit like I wanted it to. That is until I found this super chic linen romper at Madewell! (I basically love everything they make! *heart eyes*) And I think it is the mid-length of the shorts and adjustable waist/belt, so I can cinch in my waste, that made this romper a winner for me. And of course the fact that it was on sale (and currently still is) for $60 (originally $128)! heyy!

Connor on the other hand can wear just about anything! And I love to see her in denim pieces like this one because they are so modern and easy to accessorize like with this turban I wrapped for her and Saltwater Sandals. And even though this H&M romper (shop similar here) is pant length, it is still great for summer because the legs are adjustable and very loose fitting. It is the quintessential summer onsie that can be rocked on a hot summers day or a cool summer night. I also like that it snaps along the bottom making it easy to get off & on during potty trips. A feature that obvi didn’t come on mine! hehe!

Isn’t the SC Botanical Garden so very gorgeous?! There is something about nature even amongst South Bays hustle and bustle that soothes me so. And lately, it seems like discovering and loving local gems like this one has become our new habit. It gives us space as a family to spend time, think, plan, and dream. And if occasionally throwing on a couple of rompers makes the process of getting to more places like this easier I’m so here for it.

Take Care,

P.S. Here are a couple of mid-length, belted rompers (for Mommy) I am currently crushing on & some really cute denim ones (for Mini). *Double tap each pic*
