Here I am on my 29th Birthday! Loving God, my little family, our life, and who I am becoming! And I gotta say, I can’t believe I have officially entered into the last year of my 20’s! And it feels good! Crazy thing is around this time last year I wasn’t feeling so good. I seriously felt some type of way about where I was in life, personally and professionally. But for the past nine months I have been more intentional about enjoying life, doing what I’m passionate about, and stepping out of my comfort zones! And it has definitely begun to pay off! I can’t wait to share with you all some of the good things in the works!
But I also feel great on this birthday because this year I actually feel older, wiser, and more fulfilled! And I hear that’s what 30 is all about, right?! — Knowing yourself, letting go of all the uncertainty of your 20’s, and settling into who one really is? If so, I am so here for all of that! Bring it on baby!
With all that being said I really didn’t want to do anything big to celebrate this year! Because, next year! And quite frankly up until last week, when K asked me about my birthday plans, I had forgotten! Ha! But for the past few days as we gathered our plans I realized that I really didn’t want to do anything that we don’t already do on our family days: Spend some quality time, eat good food, and find somewhere to explore. And that’s pretty much what today has been like! And I’m one happy girl! Our morning consisted of breakfast at Roscoes (lol!) because I love non-traditional breakfasts, and exploring the Downtown Long Beach Marina & shops! So perfect since it’s still pretty hot out. We also stopped by one of my favorite restaurants and staycation destinations for lunch – Fuego at the Hotel Maya (check out a few pics below). What a nice afternoon hanging out, taking in something beautiful, and being with my two favs! And later on in the evening I had an awesome Birthday date with my Mr. Right!
Throughout the day Connor & I rocked two of my favorite pre-fall floral print dresses and comfy sandals. Here are a couple of quick tips to picking floral prints during the fall or pre-fall:
- Look for Dark colored florals/prints (like my dress)
- Look for smaller scale floral prints (like Connor dress)
- Don’t be afraid of floral prints mixed with different textures, fabrics, ruffles or embroidories.
- Accessorize with a floral handbag or floral print scarf or shoes.
Thanks for all the Birthday Love!
