The Ultimate Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and if you are like me the age old question is coming to mind, “What in the world am I going to get my mom for Mother’s day this year?!”😳 — Like birthday’s this holiday comes around every year and although we all try to show the moms in our world how much we love them year around, it’s nice to make mom feel extra special on this day too. But it can also be easy to get frustrated trying to figure out what to get the mom who has it all or who has been gifted it all.

For many years I’ve actually felt immense pressure to find the right gift for my mom because I really like showing her, (& my sisters, and the mother-like-ones in my life) how much I love and appreciate them. And it’s taken me years to realize why, Gift-Giving is actually one of my love languages and it’s important to me that the gifts I give (on any occasion) are thoughtful, meaningful, and unique.

Now as a new mom, I feel like a great bit of this pressure has been lifted!  I can finally more adequately understand what most moms want for Mother’s Day and that is to FEEL a certain type of way — In summary, we simply just want to feel special and pretty, loved, appreciated and uplifted, empowered, and most of all well-rested! LOL! Did I cover everything momma’s?!

So with these sentiments in mind I have created the ultimate gift guide! Many are from small shops made by moms for moms, budget friendly, and are definitely available for order in time for the special day! Check it out below. I’ve categorized each by interest group!

1. She’s environmentally conscious/loves to be pampered:

Seriously, anything from LUSH Cosmetics will do! I first stepped into a LUSH cosmetics store near me a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love! It’s brightly colored and fragrant displays of soaps, bath bombs, lotions, and scrubs will seriously have you wanting to spend your entire life saving on pampering yourself. And the best part about this brand is that not only are their cosmetic products unique and fun, but they are 100% vegetarian, essential oil based, ethically sourced, and handmade. The Bath Bombs are such a sweet and inexpensive way to pamper any mom you know who loves baths or who can appreciate spa-like at home relaxation. And their fresh cut soaps or shower lotions are also an excellent way to go too! (My fav’s are the Outback Mate & African Paradise Body Conditioner). Shop LUSH Cosmetics starting at $6 here!

2. She’s A BOSSMOM:

Is your mom, sister, friend just an all around BOSS?! I mean, not only is she a mom but she is handling business! Working, creating, selling, accomplishing so much you often wonder how does she have enough time in the day? Enter BOSSMOM Nation and their dope BOSSMOM products! Two moms behind the brand are blogger friends of mine and I just love their vision to empower and equip moms to be everything they want to be & then some! One of their BOSS MOM tee’s (in white or black), pin sets, or hoodies would really make the Boss Mom in your life light up on Mothers day. 3. She’s A Queen:

I know, I know! Shameless plug! But Granaway Turbans are indeed an excellent gift idea for Mother’s day too. They are beautiful, comfortable, and chic. And they are such a unique and fun fashion statement. Of course, you don’t have to be a mom to rock one with ease, but they are a special way to crown the queens in your world in honor of  Mother’s Day. Shop here to purchase your Granaway Turbans today!

4. She’s A Homebody:

I’ve blogged about these candles before and I continue to stand by my obsession for Zakiyah Candles! Once you go soy, you’ll never go back! These are hand poured, 100% natural soy wax candles and I seriously have all of my family loving these as well. I recommend the Lavender, Love Spell, or Mother’s Day Apothecary Jar candles for Mom. And The clean cotton, oak moss and amber, or Nag Champa for yourself! 😛 Shop Zakiyah Candles starting at $5.99 here!

5. She’s A Modern Madre/She’s Sporty:

The Modern Madre Snapback is an excellent gift for any sporty mama in your life. I love that it comes in all black, white/black, and white with pink. And will definitely come in handy for a mom who is enjoys the outdoors and who simply loves to rock a cute snap-back to the gym. Shop Modern Madre Snapbacks starting at $19 here ! You’re welcome!

6. She’s still A Mom even after losing a child:

I was so moved by what this next mom is doing I knew I had to include her in this guide. Jheanell Adams is a beauty-prenuer and Baby Loss surviver, and the creator of these beautiful “Babyloss Mom” Enamel Pins. Her Podcast “Baby Loss Talk” is dedicated To removing the Shame & Stigma Of Babyloss By Sharing Real Stories, Advice & Resources. And she has such a power story about her first mother’s day after losing her child, and how powerful it was that the people around her still affirmed her that she was a mom despite her baby no-longer being with her. Learn more and Shop these Baby Loss products starting at $10 here!

7. She’s Artsy or A bit Techie:

Anything from A Spoon Full of Faith design studio would be so awesome for an artsy momma in your life or for a techie girl like me. My Instagram friend Jena Holiday is the mother, artist & illustrator at Spoon Full of Faith Studio and she is so darn talented. She commissioned this absolutely beautiful photo of Connor & I a couple of months ago and I’m still in love! (My gift to myself this mother’s day will be framing and hanging in somewhere in Connor’s room). Shop her beautiful “Mama” centered illustrations, laptop, cellphone covers, and custom commissions starting at $15 here.

8. She’s a book worm but kind of busy:

Okay, so have I ever told you guys that I love to read? lol! But since having a kid, I simply don’t have as much time as a wish to sit and read a good book. That is until a couple of my friends told me about Audible!! So, this technically still isn’t considered “reading”, but it surely is as close (and as good) as it gets when you’re busy running after your kids! And an Audible subscription (with a couple of new audio books already purchased on it *wink, wink!*) would definitely be a great gift for a mom who loves to read! Audible is a Amazon company that provides access to millions of diverse audio books through it’s website and mobile app. Shop here  for Audible subscriptions starting at $14.95 a month!

Well I believe that certainly covers it all. Which items are you planning on gifting this year? Do share in the comments below!

Enjoy & Happy (early) Mother’s Day to All the Moms out there!

Take Care,

Brittany
